International Peace Garden 1990 Ottawa Ont. Canada

This garden symbolizes a gift of tulips to Ottawa from the Netherlands in 1945 in  gratitude of Ottawa hosting the Royal Dutch family during World War II

INTERNATIONAL PEACE GARDEN WASHINGTON 1991

 

This garden was gifted to the city of Washington by Canada’s Capital, Ottawa, in recognition of the lasting friendship between the two countries, and the sharing of the longest undefended border in the world.

INTERNATIONAL PEACE GARDEN WARSAW  1992

 

This stunning garden was planted in Saski Park  at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.  President Wygasowski at the time, was instrumental in selecting the location.

 

 

INTERNATIONAL PEACE GARDEN  BERLIN 1993 

 

Located in former East Berlin in town of Marzahn.  Lord Mayor of Berlin, Edeltraut Brandt-Bergman chose this location as symbol of beautification post reunification of east and west Berlin.

INTERNATIONAL PEACE GARDEN BUDAPEST 1994

 

This Garden is located in the suburb of Budapest, Ujpest which is in the 5th district.  The Peace Garden there is quite beautiful. It is located across from Kaposztasmegyeri Szentharomsag Plebania.  

INTERNATIONAL PEACE GARDEN STRASBOURG 1995

 

Located in Parc de L’Orangerie in Strasbourg. Mayor Catherine Trautmann chose this location to recognize it as a symbol to help unify the countries of Europe.  The park is located directly opposite the European Parliament.

War of 1812 Peace Garden Trail 

This six year timeline was focused on building the Bicentennial Peace Garden Trail that celebrates 200 years of Peace and Friendship between USA and Canada.  19 Peace Gardens bloom along this historic route, primarily in New York State located along the border between USA and Canada.

International Peace Garden 1991 Washington D.C. USA

International Peace Garden 1992 Warsaw , Poland

This stunning garden was originally located in Saski Park near the tomb of the unknown soldier, over the years it had many visitors. Then with changes in municipal governments the original garden was not maintained. However, in 2019 we travelled to Warsaw to deliver a commemorative stone and the Garden was relocated in a prominent park in Warsaw.
